In his sixth season as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Dallas Stars, Geoff Moore oversees the general business operations of the team. He is responsible for all issues involving ticket and sponsorship sales; marketing, advertising and promotions; public relations, communications and website; broadcast management, game presentation and community relations. Moore also serves on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Stars Foundation.
Moore previously served two seasons as the Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the Dallas Stars. He oversaw all American Airlines Center issues for the team including food & beverage and merchandising operations. Moore was also responsible for the Dr Pepper StarCenter division, including the design of the Stars’ hockey facilities in their new practice facility in Frisco, Texas.
The first employee hired by the Stars in March of 1993, Moore co-ordinated the renovation of Reunion Arena and all game-day operations since their first season. He was also involved throughout the entire planning, design and construction process of the American Airlines Center.
As Vice President of Business Operations for Southwest Sports Group, Moore also had responsibilities for corporate services, food and beverage operations and The Legends of the Game Museum at the Ballpark in Arlington. He also oversaw operations of the Rangers’ spring training and Class A minor league team in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Moore graduated from Oklahoma State in 1989 with a degree in marketing and Baylor in 1990 with his MBA.
