Bill Glenn is a Senior Vice President, Managing Director for The Marketing Arm. As a longtime marketing and sponsorship strategist, he has directed national and regional programs across major sports, entertainment and media properties for numerous Fortune 500 companies.
At The Marketing Arm, Glenn drives revenue and generates value through integrated marketing, promotion and event programs for clients. He joined the agency in 2004 to build its Insights and Analytics function. As The Marketing Arm's Chief Insights Officer, he co-founded the DBI, a leading celebrity entertainment marketing evaluation index, as well as leveraged proprietary metrics to validate and track return on investment for key client programs. From 2007-2010, he led the agency’s Dallas-based event marketing business, which included a number of award-winning programs.
Prior to The Marketing Arm, Glenn served as a consultant to Cingular Wireless in leading the brand's national sports and entertainment sponsorship group. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with Verizon Communications (GTE) in various management roles related to sales and sponsorship and event marketing, including development of national and regional sponsorship strategy, integrated sports and entertainment programs, promotions, product placement, media merchandising, trade shows and sponsorship return on investment models.
A member of Baylor University’s Sports Sponsorship & Sales Advisory Board and an adjunct graduate professor of sponsorship marketing for the University of Dallas, he has appeared as a subject matter expert on CNBC, MSNBC and Bloomberg Television and in industry and business publications, including Adweek, Washington Post, Sports Business Daily, Sports Business Journal, The Dallas Morning News, New York Post, CNNMoney.com, Dallas Business Journal and the IEG Sponsorship Report.
