Charlie Seraphin
Charlie Seraphin is a nationally recognized leader in professional sports sales and marketing. After an award-winning career in major market radio, Charlie moved to professional sports in 1996 as the Chief Marketing Officer for MLB’s Texas Rangers. Five years later he joined the Kansas City Royals in the same capacity. In 2007 he ran the NBA Development League team in Tulsa, and until 2011 he served as Senior VP, Sales and Marketing for Hunt Sports Group and the NFL Kansas City Chiefs, and MLS Columbus Crew and FC Dallas. As VP/GM of top-rated radio stations in Los Angeles, San Diego and Dallas, Charlie was known for innovative marketing solutions and first-class client services. Under Seraphin’s leadership, KODJ became the top-rated oldies station in LA, KYXY was the top-rated and top-billing station in San Diego, and KRLD owned the news/sports heritage position in Dallas. Earlier in his career, Seraphin led KCBS San Francisco to seven consecutive years of increased ratings and revenues and managed broadcast rights for the 49ers, the Golden State Warriors, and Stanford and San Jose State football and basketball. During his tenure, the Texas Rangers achieved their highest ever attendance and season ticket base, and the KC Royals experienced the largest percentage increase in season tickets in the history of the franchise. Similarly the Tulsa 66ers delivered the biggest revenue increase in the NBA Development League under Seraphin’s direction. Today, Charlie teaches Sales Management in the Sport Management Department at Flagler College in St. Augustine, and he serves as the Marketing Strategist for the City of St. Augustine's 450th Commemoration.
