Like a lot of us, I've been having conversations with peers about the economy.
The conversations focus on its impact on sponsorship spending. One of my conversations was with a decision maker who told me, in confidence, he is embracing the uncertain times with a positive attitude and seeing the situation rationally. Part of this, he said, is to not panic and think more creatively to identify opportunities properly.
Put more bluntly, he said he is in "buy" mode but is a more educated buyer for opportunities that in his mind, give him a "reason" to buy.
